AHAA Symposium 2022 Proposal

Letters of Interest due October 15, 2020

All members in good standing are eligible to propose an AHAA-sponsored Symposium. Each proposal must be authored and sponsored by at least two members of AHAA with the intention that the project will be co-chaired by them. In the spirit of AHAA, it is recommended that the co-chairs represent both those from colleges or universities and from the museum world. Due by October 15, 2020 is a Letter of Interest, one to two pages in length. In the Letter of Interest, the co-chairs should outline why the AHAA Symposium should be held at a particular site, as well as the types of collaborations among institutions that the location can offer. It is recommended that at least one co-chair be affiliated with a hosting institution. 

Please do not submit a completed Proposal with your Letter of Interest. The Board welcomes Letters of Interest from institutions and individuals who have submitted proposals previously.  After reviewing the Letters of Interest, the AHAA board will extend an invitation to a select number of applicants to submit a Proposal by December 1. The Proposal (due December 1) will consist of three parts: (1) resubmit a Letter of Interest, (2) at least two Letters of Institutional Support, and (3) the CVs of the proposers. The Letters of Institutional Support will affirm the backing of the hosting institutions.
