Panorama, the online, peer-reviewed journal of the Association of Historians of American Art, is issuing its annual call seeking professionals from the field to join its team. Accordingly, we are seeking nominations and self-nominations for three anticipated openings in 2020.
Sections Editors: Book Reviews Editor (1), Exhibition Reviews Editor (1), and Research Notes Editor (1). Reporting to a team of three Executive Editors, section editors commission content in their area, provide authors with guidance in terms of editorial development, and ensure that they are following Panorama’s style guide. They also receive our regular digest detailing things happening at Panorama and participate in monthly conference calls. During those calls, we take tabs on upcoming issues and work together to shape strategic planning for the journal. Ideal candidates will be organized and detail-oriented individuals with an excellent record of scholarship. Each of these sections is staffed by three editors, who serve staggered three-year terms. Incoming editors would commit to serve from 2020 through 2022. These are volunteer positions.
Nominees must be members in good standing of AHAA.
Please send a CV and statement of interest by December 1 with the subject line “EDITOR NOMINATION” to email@example.com.
