Membership

Membership in AHAA now totals nearly 600, an increase of almost one-third in the past two years. Our members--academics, museum professionals, independent scholars, collectors, and others--are found throughout the United States and in France and the United Kingdom.

AHAA's growth reflects the vital expansion of the field of American art history, as well as our organization's active outreach efforts. In addition, the benefits of AHAA membership have been enhanced to include an expanded semiannual Newsletter and an annual Members' Directory. Graduate students who are members of AHAA are eligible to apply for an annual grant to allow a PhD candidate in American art to attend the annual College Art Association annual meeting to present a paper.
