To submit a Call for Papers, send descriptive text of no more than 150 words, in a Word document, including the event title, sponsoring organization or institution, event location, and inclusive dates, to wgreenhouse@sbcglobal.net subject line "AHAA submission," and expect acknowledgement of receipt.
No commercial or paid advertisements are accepted. We make every effort to include information of potential interest to the members of the Association of Historians of American Art (AHAA). We reserve the right to reject material considered irrelevant to the purpose of this website and the aims of AHAA.

The Art and Architecture Area of the American Culture Association is seeking papers on any aspect of the arts of the Americas for the annual conference in New Orleans, 8-11 April 2009. Papers on topics related to the theme of early modernism in the Americas, within the broader categories of
Latino, Native, African American and Canadian art and architecture will be considered. We are especially interested in papers offering a cross-disciplinary perspective. For further information on the conference check the web site at http://www.pcaaca.org. Proposals should be submitted by e-mail to Robert Sheardy, at RobertSheardy@ferris.edu. Mention ACA in the Subject Line and paste a 250-word proposal in the cover letter which should also include a one paragraph c.v. and a note on AV needs. Also include up-to-date contact information. Any attachments must be in Microsoft Word, uncompressed. Proposals must be received at the above e-mail address by November 30, 2008.
