As an AHAA member, you will join an active community of scholars of American art. AHAA provides a forum for presenting and advancing new approaches to the subject; for examining problems that confront the field; and for identifying scholarly needs and opportunities to its members. AHAA fulfills these goals through its annual meeting and biennial symposia, along with its e-journal Panorama (journalpanorama.org), and quarterly e-newsletter.
Through the newly designed and updated website, members can network with colleagues in the field; access the member directory; find archives of AHAA materials, previous symposia, and CAA-sponsored sessions; and connect to the e-journal Panorama. Online, members can also participate in a range of community forums, share syllabi, post recent publications in the field, and announce exhibitions and events of interest to the AHAA community. We invite you to join our international community of scholars by becoming a member of the Association of Historians of American Art.
AHAA offers several levels of membership: Member ($35), Friend ($50), Patron ($100), Benefactor ($250), Lifetime (one-time payment of $350), and Institutional ($500).
Memberships at the Friend level and higher are tax-deductible. If you join at the Friend level or above, you will be listed as a donor on our website.
Institutional level memberships, which must be renewed on a yearly basis, offer all the membership benefits of other levels plus:
- Special listing on our donor page
- Free individual membership benefits for up to four staff members
Individual memberships under the Institutional level are non-transferable. Once the membership is processed, the institution can choose which staff members will be included under the institutional membership. These names can be updated/modified upon renewal each year.
